SCHOOLS/KIDS

Help pack weekend food bags for families struggling with food insecurity in Everett schools. It’s a simple, hands-on way to make a meaningful impact in a short amount of time.

We are looking for volunteers to act as a liaison in a local school to help keep us in the loop on the needs within five local schools. Liaisons would maintain good communication with school resource officers or administration to understand their needs and to communicate our applicable programs.

Our Giving Tree Program invites participants to provide Christmas gifts for children who might otherwise go without. Participants select a gift tag, purchase the requested items, and return them unwrapped, helping ensure each person experiences the joy, dignity, and love of the season. Additionally, volunteers can help with organizing, wrapping & distributing the gifts to recipients.

Support students by providing a safe, encouraging space to complete homework after school. Volunteers help with basic homework questions while building positive relationships with kids. No teaching experience required—just patience, consistency, and a heart to encourage students as they learn and grow.

FOOD & HOUSING PROGRAMS

Help us shop for, organize, and distribute needed food items to members in our community. Our Food Pantry provides individuals and families with access to food in a welcoming, respectful environment. Food pantry volunteers can help shop, organize and walk guests through the pantry offering encouragement, compassion, and hope to those facing food insecurity.

Our Holiday Basket Program provides individuals and families with a special basket of food and essentials during the holiday season. The goal is to help ease financial strain while offering comfort, dignity, and a tangible reminder that they are seen, cared for, and not alone during the holidays. Volunteers assist with putting together and distributing baskets at Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

EVERETT GOSPEL MISSION PARTNERSHIP

Partner with us in preparing meals for the men at the Everett Gospel Mission shelter.

The Chapel Team creates a welcoming, respectful space where men at the shelter can encounter hope, encouragement, and the love of Christ. Volunteers help lead or support weekly chapel services through prayer, Scripture, and discussion, while building meaningful relationships with residents.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

The Guest Services Team is the first friendly face our guests encounter. Volunteers assist with laundry access, food pantry support, and a variety of practical needs. This team helps create a welcoming, supportive environment by listening well, answering questions, and walking alongside guests as they receive care and resources.

Help us keep our streets clean as we take pride in our city. 3 times per year, we will have volunteer opportunities to do a street clean up which helps us to develop a relationship with the city and meet new people that might benefit from the Compassion Center ministries.

Summer Bash is a fun, community-wide event that brings neighbors together for food, resources, connection, and fun! Volunteers can assist with everything from face painting to serving lunch or being a part of the prayer team.

There is a lot that goes on at the Compassion Center! If you are looking for a way to serve but prefer to be more behind the scenes, we are looking for volunteers that can help keep the center looking good and ready for new visitors. (No heavy lifting involved).

Join our volunteer team serving the uninsured through a volunteer medical clinic. We are looking for healthcare providers, specialty providers, nurses, and receptionists. Learn more and fill out a volunteer application here.

Administrative Support Volunteers help keep our ministry running smoothly behind the scenes. Opportunities include bookkeeping, data entry, newsletter creation, graphic design, social media support, and other administrative tasks. This role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals who want to use their skills to make a meaningful impact, often with flexible scheduling.

LIFE RECOVERY & SUPPORT GROUPS

Do you have experience walking through a life-altering situation? Are you ready to lead others through healing and freedom too? We are looking for willing leaders to host various support and recovery groups for individuals in the community. (Groups include: widow support, abortion recovery, addiction recovery, grief support, divorce support, etc).

If you have knowledge, skills or abilities that others in our community can benefit from, we would love to talk to you about leading a life skills class! (Examples include ESL, basic finances, basic Christian beliefs, etc)

We are looking for volunteers to do home visits, make phone calls, or write letters to provide encouragement to the senior community that is largely experiencing isolation.
